
Michael Dobbins is a proud father of three beautiful children who inspire his commitment to creating a world where Black excellence thrives. His family is at the heart of everything he does; driving his dedication to leadership, mentorship, and advocacy. As an Operations Manager for the FAA at one of the core 30 airports in the U.S., Michael ensures safety, efficiency, and operational excellence while fostering a culture of inclusivity.
In his role as Great lakes Region President of the National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (NBCFAE), Michael leads efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization. He has spearheaded significant initiatives, including organizing impactful Women’s History and Black History Month events that celebrate and uplift underrepresented voices. Through his vision, he also developed the Great Lakes Region Leadership Summit, providing a platform for leadership development and collaboration within the FAA.
Michael is also passionate about leadership development and continues to coach, and mentor professionals to support their growth. His future plans include building an organization that focuses on developing aspiring leaders, expanding his humanitarian efforts, and influencing organizational cultures toward greater inclusivity and equity.
