
Norman Paul Desire is a devoted and experienced leader in Christian ministry, with more than three decades of dedicated service. Born in exile in Uganda to Rwandan parents, Rev. Norman was the first in his family to embrace Christianity. His faith journey began in 1983 during his secondary school years when he experienced a profound encounter with Jesus Christ. Since that transformative moment, he has remained steadfast in his mission to spread the gospel and empower others through his ministry in Leadership Development.
In 1990, after being ordained by the Full Gospel Mission in Uganda, Rev. Norman returned to
Rwanda immediately following the genocide against the Tutsi. Alongside fellow Christian
Ministers , he delivered a powerful message of reconciliation, restoration, forgiveness,
repentance, and spiritual revival to a nation in desperate need of healing. His work was
instrumental in bringing hope and renewal to countless lives in post-genocide Rwanda.
In 2003, Rev. Norman founded Christ for the Nations Ministries (CNM), a nonprofit
organization created in response to the need for spiritual and socio-economic renewal in Rwanda.
CNM focuses on preaching the gospel, training pastors and leaders, and aiding in the socio-
economic transformation of communities. The organization’s initiatives include women’s
empowerment programs, support for orphans , vulnerable groups , leadership training,
equipping church leaders , marketplace leaders and emerging leaders . The organization
operates apre and primary school that serves as a social enterprise but has passion to extend
education support across the country . The organization is currently working on establishing a Leadership Institute in Rwanda to further its impact on leadership development in the region.
Rev. Norman holds a Master of Arts in Theology from the Minnesota Graduate School of
Theology, a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Christian Leadership ( ACT ), and a Diploma in
Theology from Glad Tidings Bible College . He holds leadership certificates . He is finalizing
his Doctorate in Ministry . His academic achievements reflect his deep commitment to theological study and Christian leadership. He does national and regional radio and TV broadcast.
Norman Paul Desire is also a founding member of the Forum for Born Again Churches and
Para Church Organizations and plays a vital role in the Fellowship of Interdenominational
Christian Organizations in Rwanda. His influence extends beyond Rwanda, as he is an
international speaker focusing on East African Nations, a certified leadership coach, a mentor, and a gospel minister.
Currently, Norman resides in Rwanda with his wife, Mutesi Asenath Desire, and
their four children. He continues to serve as the president of CNM and as an Elder at Revelation of Omega Church, where his family worships. In his personal life, he enjoys reading, playing with children, and traveling. His life and ministry remain a source of inspiration and empowerment to many, driven by his unwavering faith and commitment to serving God and humanity.
