Dr. Cox is the proud father of 5 natural and 2 bonus children: Orlando, Arnold Jr., Ashley, Courtney, Ariel, Andre, and Mallory and grandfather of 7: Ashton, Aiden, Courtlynn, Orionna, Aria, Faith, and Acelynn.
Dr. Cox is currently under contract with Council of Leaders in Alabama Schools and The Alabama Principal Leadership Development System as a Principal Mentor as well as Leadership and Special Education Consultant for Bailey Education Group LLC.
Dr. Cox is the 2021 CLAS, Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals Principal of the Year for District 1 that comprises of 9 counties including Baldwin and Mobile. He also received the 2022 President’s Bronze volunteer service award for taking a team of teachers and students to Honduras and El Salvador to fit local amputees with prosthetics that were manufactured on his campus in the CTE engineering and manufacturing class.
The Baldwin County Board of Education previously employed Dr. Cox where he was an assistant principal at Baldwin County High School in Bay Minette Alabama from 2010- 2019. Dr. Cox has been thusly employed for the past thirty years where he has served in various capacities of: substitute teacher, para- professional, coach, school-to-work transition specialist, special education teacher, and bus driver as well. Dr. Cox received his B.A. from The University of South Alabama, M. Ed in Special Education from Alabama State University and Leadership in school administration certification from The University of South Alabama as well.
Dr. Cox earned his doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from National University in San Diego, California in 2024 and is a published author of the book, Cultivating School Leadership for Sustainable Change that can be purchased on Amazon. Finally, Dr. Cox, an ordained minister, is not only committed to his family and career but strong faith and in teaching Kingdom principles of wholeness (I Thes. 5:23) in the areas of health, work, finances, and relationships by loving, giving, fasting, and praying on a daily basis.
