Dr. Jared M. Williams, DBA, is a seasoned healthcare executive, consultant, and nonprofit leader with more than 20 years of experience serving medically underserved and historically marginalized communities. Originally from Port Arthur, Texas, he brings a deep personal understanding of the social, economic, and health inequities facing the Gulf Coast and rural communities—an understanding that has shaped his lifelong commitment to advancing health equity, financial sustainability, and access to high-quality care.
Throughout his career, Dr. Williams has served in executive leadership roles including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Senior Vice President across Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), behavioral health organizations, and community-based nonprofits. His leadership spans large, multi-site healthcare systems with budgets exceeding $50 million, complex capital and expansion projects, and enterprise-wide financial turnarounds. He is known for blending financial discipline with data-driven decision-making to improve organizational performance and long-term sustainability.
Dr. Williams earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Jarvis Christian University, where he pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (Fall 2006). He later completed his Master of Business Administration from Lamar University and earned his Doctor of Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word. He is a member of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society for Business (09’) and Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society, recognizing sustained academic excellence and scholarly achievement.
In 2019, Dr. Williams completed certifications in Data Analytics and Big Data Analytics from Cornell University, strengthening his ability to leverage advanced analytics, financial modeling, and performance metrics in complex healthcare environments. He is also a 2019 and 2024 participant in the athenahealth Executive Leadership Forum in collaboration with Harvard University, where he engaged with national healthcare leaders on value-based care, digital transformation, and executive strategy.
Dr. Williams’s contributions have received considerable recognition. He is the recipient of the 2019 UNCF Outstanding Alumnus Award and the Preeminence Award in Entrepreneurship and Business from Jarvis Christian University (2019). In 2024, he was honored as a Galveston County 40 Under 40 inductee along with his wife, Dr. Kavica E. Williams, Ph.D., highlighting their joint commitment to exemplary leadership, civic involvement, and community advancement.
In addition to his professional leadership, Dr. Williams is a graduate of Central Fort Bend County’s Leadership Program and Fort Bend County’s Leadership Forum. He currently serves as a member for Jarvis Christian University’s Employee Advisory Committee and the
Nia Cultural Center and Juneteenth Legacy Program in Galveston, Texas, where he continues to champion cultural preservation, community empowerment, and inclusive economic development.
