He has held senior roles at major institutions, including Barclays, Citibank, Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, and Harley‑Davidson Financial Services, where he served as Director of Risk Management and Consumer Credit. Throughout his career, he has led enterprise risk initiatives, built analytic frameworks, reduced delinquency, credit losses, and fraud losses, and strengthened financial performance across large and mid‑size portfolios.

Dr. Pettiford is the President of KRP Strategies, Inc., a fractional advisory firm providing risk assessment, governance, and credit strategy support to small and mid‑size financial institutions. He works with executive teams to strengthen risk oversight, improve regulatory readiness, and put practical, data-driven solutions in place.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Dr. Pettiford is an Adjunct Professor of Business and Technology at Wilmington University, where he teaches analytics, decision science, and organizational leadership.
