Women To Watch 2024 honoree Velvet Noble



Velvet Noble, a native of the Westside of Chicago.  Her early life was marked by the challenges of the 80s drug epidemic, as her mother and father struggled with drug addiction.  Witnessing these hardships profoundly impacted Velvet, instilling in her a deep desire to bring about change and help others.  Raised by her grandmother, who taught Christian values and the importance of community service.  Proud mother of three and a grandmother. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.


Her relocation to Atlanta in 2019 marked a turning point, as her dedication to community advocacy flourished. She championed health and wellness initiatives within Black and Brown communities, leveraging corporate partnerships to support local needs. Velvet’s tireless efforts were recognized in March 2024 by Commissioner Natalie Hall a Proclamation Day of recognition from City of Atlanta for launching a program with DaShaun Jonhson, the Guru of Abs for promoting fitness and health programs with Walmart Health. Velvet is on the Board of Directors for Senior Lives Matter non-profit focusing on senior fitness.  Velvet is on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Coalition, educating people about diabetes.  She is an active member of the Midwest Building Coalition; their mission is to bring equitable transition to all electric buildings and homes, reducing fossil fuel out of our homes and business. As a Board member at Pleasant Word Christian Center International church, she oversees community outreach programs, focusing on education and health and wellness advocacy, particularly for women. 


 Beyond her community advocacy.  Velvet is a licensed insurance agent specializing in Life & Health insurance and Wealth Management. In 2019, launching her own financial services firm, Noble Consultant Group LLC. Velvet Noble was inspired to start Noble Consultant Group LLC due to her passion for educating people, particularly women, about the importance of protecting their income and families with insurance.  She partners with Women in Financial Services (WIFS) to educate people, especially women about protecting their income and families with insurance. She also has a partnership with Our Infinite Company, an organization that works with educators and small businesses offering financial solutions. Our Infinite Company, awarded Velvet as a Rising Star leader for helping families.  


Her upcoming project will be returning to the City of Chicago, as Director of Community Outreach with Sandie A. Norman Ministries, a non-profit organization to launch an outreach center providing job readiness, healthcare, community resources and ministry to an underserved area of the Westside of Chicago.  Her story is one of resilience, compassion and leadership inspiring many to join her in the quest for community betterment.
