
Lazar Favors is a dynamic CEO and Founder of Black Spirits Legacy, LLC, a brand building and marketing management company focused on providing distribution opportunities and building relationships for Black-owned spirit companies. His Portfolio includes Duke & Dame Salted Caramel Whiskey, IslandJon Vodka, Fort Mose Bourbon, Ricarda Amor Tequila, J Prince Loyalty Wines, Ronald Isley Liquid Gold XO Brandy, Tom Bullock's & Birdie Brown brands, and more.
Lazar and his wife Marshalle, a entrepreneurial duo with a combined experience of over 25 years in community services, business development, and product creation within the film, fashion, and spirits industries. Together, they are on a mission to empower Black-owned businesses and create opportunities for growth and success.
In addition to their work in the spirits industry, Lazar and Marshalle are also accomplished film producers and festival directors. They have organized two successful film festivals in Detroit, The Trinity International Film Festival and the Detroit Black Film Festival, under the Trinity Films Entertainment Group umbrella. With nearly two decades of experience in the film festival industry, Lazar and Marshalle are committed to showcasing diverse voices and stories in cinema.
Lazar incorporates meditation music, games of connect 4, long walks, and moments of silence into his daily routine to maintain balance within his businesses. He actively practices positive affirmations and encourages his family to do the same. In his spare time, Lazar finds joy in traveling with his wife, writing poetry, mentoring young entrepreneurs, and cherishing moments with his daughters and three grandsons. His commitment to self-care and nurturing relationships is evident in all aspects of his life.
