Rose has always had a passion for technology and a passion for education. The intersection of technology + education led her to an EdTech company where she was responsible for the Mergers & Acquisitions Strategy in Product Operations. She partnered with Group Vice Presidents on the execution of the company’s strategic initiative to drive continuous growth through acquisitions, as a means to accelerate the development of innovative solutions for the K12 sector. As a results-driven member of a cross-functional team, she led four successful acquisition integrations in one year, resulting in increased product adoption and increased revenues.
Previously, in Academia, one of Rose’s passions, Rose was a Professor and Department Chair of the Software Engineering program and Department Chair of the Web Design and Development program in Higher Education. She managed to excellence four-degree programs, two advisory boards, a technical faculty of 30 industry professionals and academic instructors, and advised hundreds of students. This led to an increase in the number of minority students entering the STEM workforce.
Prior to her roles in Academia, Rose pursued her passion for technology. She was a successful Certified Technical Professional and Corporate Spokesperson for a Fortune 100 global technology company. As a technical visionary and executive advisor, Rose developed a record of excellence in building consensus among client stakeholder interests and partnering solution providers, and providing technical sales leadership to the sales team. She was a master at facilitating customer solution understanding through presentations, demonstrations, and leading Proof of Concepts. She was often selected to speak at tech
industry conferences, both nationally and internationally. As an international business traveler, Rose’s deep technical excellence, combined with her command of the interpersonal and soft skills, resulted in the sale of numerous multimillion-dollar technical solutions at the global level. Here, she became a member of the One Hundred Percent Club for her quota attainment.
Rose has been a two-time entrepreneur as well. First, as an Independent Consultant to
telecommunications service providers in the New York City, New Jersey, and Connecticut areas. And second, as co-owner and Managing Director of a small startup in Florida.
Rose has also worked with K12 schools in under-served communities, managing hands-on technology programs she developed for their students. This was purely voluntary and allowed her to make donations in technology to the students, introduce the students to the STEM disciplines, and grow their interest in a college education in engineering. In this role, she created collaborative partnerships between her employer and the communities, school districts, colleges, and universities. Rose continues to pursue opportunities to share the joy of technology with members of under-served communities.
Rose has been described as a multi-talented energetic professional with an infectiously positive attitude who is highly motivated, action and results oriented, creative, and a natural leader with a sense of vision.
